Event Description : "I am a woman but not a mirror" - A poetic interlude.
Anna T. Szabó is a poet,a translator who is an expert of the English Renaissance, the cinema and also of literary editing as the poetry editor of the Hungarian Quarterly. She is a great master of poetic form. Her first collection of poetry was published when she was twenty three years old. She writes about beauty, body, passion and motherhood with a great amount of reflection and playfulness. A surprising element in her poetry is the ability to write about happiness, which as one of her her critics says „is not a message, a topic or a story but a form itself”.
Margit Köves will introduce the guests to Anna T. Szabó who will be in conversation with Professor Malashri Lal (Dean of Colleges, Dean of Academic Activities Delhi University) and Dr. Ranjana Saxena (Associate Professor, Dept of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies) about her work, about women’s writing in Hungary and her generation of writers and poets.
