Event Description : ‘Celebrating North East’ The Mega Fest.

Covering  eight beautiful, exotic and to an extent unexplored states of India, the event provides a unique platform showcasing fashion shows, cultural programs, musical shows and exhibitions of traditional textiles of the North East Region.

North-Eastern region of India, known popularly for its natural scenic beauties with eight beautiful and culturally rich states -  Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and  Sikkim. The region also has strong roots of its traditional textiles and handicrafts which forms an integral element of its socio- economic structure.

With a motive to create an interaction of ideas, to provide an international platform of marketing forum and an unique initiative to showcase NE Indias’ textiles, one of the leading institute of Assam, North East Institute of Fashion Technology (NEIFT) is organizing a mega two day festival, “CELEBRATING NORTH EAST” at DLF Place, Saket.

The festival is presented by Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Home Affairs, in association with DLF PLACE, Saketand will showcase and create a mini North East for cross section of the society of Delhi with a humble and sincere effort to bring NER closer to the capital.
