Event Description : Book Launch by the children of Tara Boys Children's Home

The Children of Tara Boys Children’s Home have just written their first book - ‘Chocolate Biscuit Stories' and will be launching it.

For the last 8 months, the children have been working on their stories, poems and autobiographical pieces with the help of UK author Katie Waldegrave. 
Katie and her organisation First Story believe that writing can transform lives, and that there is dignity and power in every young person’s story. 
With her mentorship, the Boys have begun to find their voice and know that voice has value. 

Come and get your copy of Chocolate biscuit stories, meet the authors and hopefully grab a few chocolate biscuits -- if the boys spare some of them before your arrival… 

About the Organization : Tara is an NGO offering a residential service with an emphasis on education for street children and abandoned children. The homes, ensure quality education, security, complete health care and a real opportunity to carve a bright future. The homes are not institutions! They host no more than 20 children, to ensure a violence-free, family-like environment.
