Event Description : ZeeQ Bookaroo Children's Literature Festival 2015.

ZeeQ Bookaroo will have 101 sessions over two days with 60 speakers from 10 countries.
Bringing children and books together has been the mission for India’s first and biggest children’s literature festival. As in past years, this time too we have a distinguished lineup of speakers from Norway, Nepal, New Zealand, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, France, Malaysia, UK and India. They are all set to mesmerise you with a repertoire ranging from storytelling to craft to doodles to performances.
We have a special surprise for you. Beginning this year, the festival will also focus on children’s literature from various regions of India. This year’s focus is Bangla children’s literature that will include indigenous storytelling, folk art and craft and Book Art from Bengal. Get to see the many facets of literature - from Patua to Suppandi, Satyajit Ray to Lewis Carroll, rock faces to kitchen gardens, stories about sleuths to those about tricksters, stitching to collage making and more – in Bookaroo 2015.
Says Ashwin Sashital, Brand Head, ZeeQ, “ZeeQ is one of India's popular kids’ entertainment channels.
The channel has always been about learning various life-skills and values in the ‘Masti Way’, making it a fun process for the kids. By supporting ‘Bookaroo’, ZeeQ is taking another initiative and keeping up to its promise of encouraging fun learning and taking the winners of ZeeQ Kahaani Express activity to attend the international leg of the Bookaroo Kuching festival in Malaysia.”
“Watching the bright faces of children as they meet their favourite author, illustrator or storyteller and run around busily attending sessions has been our reward ever since we began in 2008,” says M Venkatesh, managing trustee, Bookaroo Trust.

About ZeeQ :  ZeeQ, a part of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, is the youngest channel in the children’s entertainment space in India. The channel’s aim is to showcase safe yet engaging content for children.
The shows on ZeeQ are a mix of animation as well as live action, to cater to its audience aged 4 to 14 years. While live action shows are produced by the channel, the animation shows are a blend of curated as well as produced content. ZeeQ is available in Hindi and English.

About Bookaroo : Set up in 2008 by a slightly mad bunch of booklovers, Bookaroo is now a five-city festival. It is held in Delhi, Pune, Goa, Ahmedabad and Kuching (in Malaysia). Dedicated exclusively to children’s literature, it tries to bring books and children together in many exciting ways.
