Event Description : A solo show of installations by Rita Prasad.

Man is a progenitor of industrialisation, which has now swamped and throttled his basic humanity.
Metro Cities are the most powerful metaphor of both; industrialisation and destruction of the natural environment using difficult techniques of studding leather with spiked steel wires, I express my anguished vision of the present, fast moving towards nihilistic future, and to manifest my uber angst, I brings into deliberate dialogue the conversion of everyday utility objects into my artistic trop.
This creates a frisson of anticipated sensitivity. hidden mysterious traumas that mankind face on this earth. Leather symbolizes the entire animal world. Through piercing and distorting it in my art journey, I try to encompasses numerous sensibilities studded with razor sharp spike, giving out contradictory signals inviting, tempting yet simultaneously forbidding and warning the viewer that even a touch can be wounding and painful.
