Event Description : Delhi Blue Pottery Trust presents "Terra Fest" a group exhibition of clay artworks
Terracotta Pottery has been in existence for thousands of years through the tradition of decorating pots in geometric patterns or images of nature depicting flora and fauna. In India terracotta has
been the medium through which life itself is defined. Terracotta ware was made for every phase from festival to harvesting, from wedding rituals to religious ceremonies; for cooking and dinning out of; for storage; children toys; and for decoration.
Every state in this vast country with its rich culture has terracotta potters. Potters who magically transform a lump of clay into beautiful pots thrown on the wheel, or hand built as decorative and figurative pieces.
