The theme of our annual cultural event this year is vibrant, colorful and charismatic Gujarat.Every year we will strive to focus on a different region of India. Gujarat is well known for its rich culture. The folk arts of Gujarat form a major part of the culture of the state. It preserves the rich tradition of song, dance, drama as well. Handicrafts include Bandhani, patolas of Patan, kutchhi work, Khadi, bamboo craft, block printing, embroidery, woodcraft, metal crafts, pottery, namda, rogan painting, pithora and many more handicrafts. We will be having day long cultural celebrations from the different parts of India. ‘AAMBROTSAVE’ is a modest beginning to supplement and contribute towards the cultural cause - a celebration of Indian dance forms, culture, cuisine, craft and literature.AAMBROTSAVE has a major component: An annual cultural event. AAMBROTSAVE 2015 a celebration has already created a very positive response in the Delhi NCR and beyond. We are expecting a number of dignitaries from all walks of Indian society, prominent patrons of the arts and foreign diplomats. Our theme will include an emphasis to continuously highlight rare Indian art forms, waning culinary traditions, along with dance, folk music, and literature which appears to be diminishing in comparison to pop culture.

Our schedule of programs will include:

RAAS: Ambrotsava Raas is an authentic Raas-Garbha performance – which will include singing troupe and professional dancers from Gujarat. This program will also include folk vocalists and instrumentalists, who will perform at the event, live. Timing 7pm-10.00pm

HAAT: Ambrotsava Haat is a collection of artisan stalls, selling traditional, pan-Indian wares to promote indigenous skills and Make in India. Techniques like patola from gujrat, which is characterized by extreme precision in multiple tying, dyeing and weaving. Both the warp and weft threads are dyed separately and the pattern emerges in the actual act of weaving. Extraordinary textile techniques like these are now languishing in the face of mechanized weaving and an ever widening gap between traditional craftspeople and the demand of the contemporary customer. The traditional patterns handed down over time and inspired from nature and surrounding elements, are skillfully printed onto cotton textiles to create beautiful dupattas, sarees, yardage and home linen for the contemporary market. Terracotta Pottery, Paper Crafts, Papier Mache, Pattachitra painting & Sanjhi paper-cutting are a wonderful opportunity to create personalized gifts for loved ones!

PAKWAAN: Aambrotsava pakwaan is a collection of food stalls, serving traditional Indian delicacies from different regions of the country. Enjoy rejuvenating beverages at the Food Court from all over India.

AURTHOR'S CORNER: Aambrotsava author’s corner is a section dedicated to book releases, book discussions, promoting and supporting literature, poetry and authors from all parts of country. Discussions, debates and discourses from prominent Indian writers, poets, authors, columnists and academics. Aambrotsave will feature the best minds writing in Hindi and English.
