Event Description : Talk & Demonstration by Japanese Taiko Drummer Yuhei Motoyama - Sharing his experiences of his travelling tour of India
Mr. Motoyama, renowned Japanese Taiko drummer, has already performed at Thrissur, Auroville and Kolkata in months of July and August, 2015. Now he is coming to Delhi to share his experiences during his stay in India.
The project is supported by Japan Airlines (JAL).
About Yuhei Motoyama : He started playing Taiko since the age of 12 in a Japanese Drum group, Hatoyama Koinnokai, based in Saitama prefecture. While playing in the group for 10 years, he trained himself not only in composing pieces but also playing in various places, including Alaska, USA. When he was 18 years old, he moved into Tokyo and joined a Japanese professional drum organization, Oedo sukero kutaiko. During his 4 year experience, he joined China tour in 2008. He became a member of Bachiatari in 2011 and came to India for performances in 2013 (Bhubaneswar) and in 2014 (Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Coimbatore). From 2013 till present, he is a member of a Taiko project Indra.
