Event Description : Arture Connect 2015 invites you to celebrate 400 years of Indo-British Relationship in Style.
Arture Connect 2015 is celebrating 400 years since the beginning of formal relations between India and Great Britain. For entire October, this Indo-British fusion will promote eminent and upcoming designers| artists from the two glorious nations to a wider audience of more than 10,000 at each city.
Arture Connect will witness exhibitions by well-known artists like Naresh Kapuria, Arshi Ahemad, Jaya Baheti, Anirudh Sainath, Suchitra Ravichandran, Pritika Uppal and many more upcoming artists. Some of the budding designers namely Shruti Chopra, Anees Deen, Sabrina Omer, Nidhi Mahajan of Solestruck will also exhibit in Delhi.
Each segment of ‘ArtureConnect’ will feature lifestyle, music and other design exhibits, conferences – featuring speakers from the worlds of design, marketing, international trade and business – and exclusive catwalk shows.
Arture Connect is the brainchild of Preeti Gaikwad and her team at TwoCorners, an organization which finds and collaborates with young, up and coming artists, promoting and encouraging their work.
Sharing the vision Preeti said “We have been analysing the opportunities and working closely with the artists and designers from India for over two years now and see a massive potential for cross border collaborations. With an industry growing at the rate of 20% per annum, it is important to recognise unique designs and support the designers to create a market for the same. We will be actively promoting new designers and artisans at Arture Connect 2015.”
A unique new international fashion event is now aiming to put the legendary French fashion auteur’s words across the continents.‘Arture Connect 2015’ aims to provide a platform for fashion designers from Europe and India to showcase their wares whilst encouraging the vast array of artists and designers who work in fashion – from make-up artists through graphic designers to digital marketers – to use the event to innovate, inform and be inspired.
Whilst fashion weeks are dime a dozen these days, it is believed ‘ArtureConnect’ is the first of its kind to offer such a wide spectrum for designers and artists to explore and promote their art.
The event is also backed and supported by the likes of Cambridge Style Week, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, the Be Kind Movement, IG2N IT Services and the London College of Contemporary Arts.
