Event Description : Wings of Angelz – Delhi Wing presents "RAMP DAY" to build wheel chair friendly world
Milan Verma is working with an IT company. He is also closely associated with a social initiative called the Wings of Angelz that aims at building a wheel chair friendly world by encouraging public places to be wheel chair friendly. They started off in Dubai, U.A.E and last year began their journey in Delhi, India too. They have already got 3 ramps built in India and have initiated the process in 5 other locations. They are an organization that aims at making Delhi a wheel chair friendly city. Their team consists of both abled and differently abled members. They are a group of volunteers who urge the managers of places that are not accessible by a wheel chair to make ramps. They help with giving advice for the construction of ramps and also arranging funds if required. You can read more about them at www.facebook.com/WingsOfAngelz
On the 23rd of August they are having a meeting at CP where they would meet up to discuss on their future plans and also would split up into groups to look for places that are not wheelchair friendly and request them to take their first steps towards building a ramp. They plan to discuss how they can spread the awareness of building ramps in Delhi and making life of the wheelchair bound much simpler. This meeting will inform people about what Wings of Angelz does and how everyone else can help and be part of this. They would invite people to become wingeers - The Volunteers of Wings of Angelz.
