Event Description : “Indradhanush” is a series of paintings in Oil on Canvas medium where the artist, Dr. Anjali Kakati Gupta has tried to capture the human mind in the VIBGYOR of the rainbow.

For Dr  Anjali Kakati Gupta, who has been practicing medicine for the past twenty years, painting is just not a hobby, it’s a medium of expression of her thoughts and beliefs. 

 “Indradhanush” for her is a myriad of seven colours continuously reminding her of the several shades of a human mind, it’s thought processes and the various stages through which it evolves. In some of her paintings Indradhanush or the rainbow signifies love and hope and at others it depicts anger, sadness and desires. Human mind intrigues her lot and its inane capacity of thoughts which are continuously changing, sometimes creating, sometimes destroying has always awed her.

Anjali is also a poet who inks the paper with her thoughts as she paints the canvases.
