Event Description : "Aesthetic Memories" 13th Solo exhibition of paintings by Purnendu Mandal.
Purnendu Mandal is an accomplished artist trained in fine art from the Kolkata College of Art and Craft, an institution that has given us some of our best painters and Sculptors. They are among the best as they reflect a powerful human concern. Purnendu expresses this inner sentiment with a sensitive use of colour and a powerful skill in composition and drawings. It is the presence of both these qualities in his work that gives it, its impact and flexibility in size.

REFINED ART - 'Aesthetic Memories' (a journey through art), the 12th solo art exhibition by artist Purnendu Mandal has been scheduled for 17th March to 23rd March, 2015 at the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi. This series that portrays the old and modern Kolkata displays apt impressions of monumental heritages as well as multistory buildings and other relevant scenario. Purnendu paints using an evolved and unique roller technique in the impressionism form. His emphasis on impressionism and its vivid norms reveals the relevant aesthetics and the desired standards of glory in each work that is unique in its own way. The artist has a fine sense of art, skillful use of brush, rollers and other techniques highlighting the enlightenment and visual panorama of extravagance through relevant motifs, idioms and metaphors.
