Event Description : As The Japan Foundation welcomes the new Director General and bid farewell to the current Director General, we bring you 12-in-1, that is 12 cultural events in 1 day! Mark your calenders and pay us a visit on the August 22, 2015 - enjoy if not all the 12 at least 1 of the programs. Find our Director General(s) in the building and have a fun time with us!

This will be a full day affair, starting from 10:30 am till evening, followed by refreshments and will observe 12 different events in a single day. Hence, 12-in-1.

Schedule : 

1. Origami
(10.30 a.m. - 12.00 noon)
Learn the Art of Japanese Paper folding by Origami Oritai Members. 
Open for all- kids and adults.

2. Tsutsumu Demonstration
(10.30 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.)
Demonstration of Japanese Style of wrapping anything using cloth. 
Learn this practical skill handy in daily life.

3. Manga Lecture
(11.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m)
“All Manga leads to Japan”, a comical talk by our Current Director, Mr. Doi.

4. Japanese Food Tasting
(12.30 p.m. - 1.30 p.m.)
Experience different Japanese dishes-Yakitori, Okonomiyaki, Omurice etc. 
Please keep in mind, it’s Food TASTING!

5. Film Screening – “Moving”(click here for more details)
(2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.)
Japanese Cinema with English Subtitles. 
This film was screened at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival.

6. Japanese Toys
(3.00 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.)
Let’s play with traditional Japanese Toys!
For kids as well as adults!

7. ChatRoom - “Theme:Anime & Manga”
(3.30 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.)

Prior Registration is Mandatory – Registration opens on Monday, August 17. Mail us at query@jfindia.org.in.
Eligibility: Basic level of Japanese is mandatory.
Japanese language students practice conversing in Japanese with a Japanese native on the given theme.

8. Piano Recital by Ms. Chisato Murakami
Ms. Murakami,Famous in Japanese Language Education, will perform for the audience. Followed by a Japanese song sing-along in which you are welcome to join!

9. My Trip to Japan by Ms. Mollika
 Ms. Mollika visited Japan in June on JF’s cultural exchange program. 
She will share her experiences with us.

10. Yukata Wearing
(5.45 p.m. - 6.15 p.m.)
Dress up in Yukata for the evening! 
Condition - You have to participate in Bon Odori.

11. Karaoke
(6.30 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.)
Sing to your heart’s content! 
You can choose from the songs in Hindi, English & Japanese.

12. Bon-Odori
(6.15 p.m. - 8.15 p.m.)
Lets dance in different Japanese traditional Dance styles and enjoy the refreshments alongside.
