When was the last time you heard two Punjabis talking about baniyas or sindhis or the last time you heard two baniyas talking about their families.
We,Dilliwalas are familier with marwadi or sindhi families around,they are a bigger part of the vast Delhi culture.
Produced by CurtainCall Productions and Events and Curated by Vishesh Arora ,The Kanjoos Diaries is a fun filled dramatic Standup Comedy Act which makes a comical statement on how Punjabi,Baniya,Sindhi and other communities flow parallely into the Delhi Culture.
Performers-
1. Amit Sharma
Amit Sharma belongs to commonly found Indian engineer species, after developing split personality disorder by working in private sector for 8 years, he finally decided to cure himself by working with his comic personality.
He mostly talks about Bollywood, politics, life in urban Indian society and sometimes gets lucky in making his point, and yes being married gives him the inspiration and desperation required to become a comedian.
Amit is truly one-of-a-kind. Comfortable on stage with Hinglish, he is the kind of comedian you don't know whether you are laughing with him or at him, and it doesn't really bother him either
way.
2. Pratyush Chaubey
Pratyush Chaubey is a frustrated Software Engineer from Uttar Pradesh, after winning extra ordinary level of humiliation and frustration from this world he decided to give back the same to society, so he landed up in Standup Comedy.
He talks about life of professionals which basically has no life, why everybody is trying to make a fool of you and how his Boss and fiancé grill him in a similar way and with similar intentions. At times he talks about society & hypocrisy and how both are made for each other.
Unlike him his jokes are clean, he likes to bring content that entire family can sit and listen.
3. Jaspreet Singh
Middle Class, Punjabi, Engineer - What else you need to screw up. Oh yes! he has a girlfriend too. If you think no one is observing you, you are sadly mistaken. Look for Jaspreet around, if he is there he definitely is. He is not scared of cracking jokes on anyone (Wonder why he never writes about his girlfriend).
Listen to his funny tales, routine ironic incidents and observations. Join in for some, as he say, Shudh Desi Laughter.
4. Kishore Dayani
The Boy from Ranchi, is diverse and is pleasantly deceptive. His Joking habit propelled him to pursue stand up comedy. The Small town boy trying to make it Big. Being a Mix of Bihari, Jharkhandi, Sindhi and A Delhiwala hasnt helped matters for him and his life has become a mix of all 4 cultures. To top up the problems, he got married 3 years back and to make matters even worse, his mother in law keeps visiting him. Watch him talk about life of Biharis, Sindhis and how Marriage marred him, and yes off course, his dog and Salman Khan.
5. Parvinder Singh
When he was born, the doctor said “aapke ghar hadsa hua hai”! Memorable childhood you talk about? He remembers how to dodge those flying ‘chappals’, and girls now know how to dodge him. He could be funny, smart, intelligent, fabulous, charismatic, and what not, but because he is a Punjabi he chose to screw himself up!!
A sales professional, he does not have to try too hard to make you buy his stories (as they are already very cheap). Join him for a round of laughter while he takes you on a tale of two cities-the one where he was born and the one where he performs.
6. Gaurav Gupta
Gaurav gupta is a baniya who is extravagant when it comes to delievering jokes.he is a dentist by profession ,a husband by posession and a comedian by recession
