Event Description : "Chhota Bheem, The Musical" Musical Theatrical presentation.
Lead characters from Chhota Bheem, an Indian animated comedy-adventure series which focuses on adventures of a boy named Bheem and his friends in fictional city-state of Dholakpur, will come alive on stage for three days in Capital through a musical.
Chhota Bheem and his buddies including Pyaari Chutki, Jaggu Bandar, Raju, Princess Indumati, Kalia, Dholu and Bholu will be moving out of Dholkapur to meet children of Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) through ‘Chhota Bheem, the Musical Live’ to be directed by Sachin Gupta.
“This is the first time the owners of the franchise Green Gold Animation have parted with the copyright for a stage version. They have tied up with VIS Spark Productions a Delhi based production house and Chilsag International is an Indian Theatre organization founded by me and has produced Thirteen original theatre productions, International tours, Launched a Theatre Magazine, established Theatre Laboratory and, through its reputed acting Academy, trained hundreds of new actors.” Said Mr Sachin Gupta of Chilsag International who also directed and produced a movie “Paranthe Wali Gali” and another one to be released soon “Thoda Lutf ,Thoda IShq’’
“ The scripting and characters rehearsals is underway as we are fully gearing up for the Chhota Bheem the Musical. We will be performing at the Siri Fort auditorium in Delhi on July 24, 25 and 26. There will be nine shows over three days with 35-40 actors from my repertory performing live. You will see Chhota Bheem on stage and amongst the audience. There will be about six-seven music pieces based on the songs you've heard before," informed Sachin.
“The lead character of the series, Bheem is a nine-year-old brave, strong, intelligent, adventurous and fun loving boy. Gifted with extraordinary strength Bheem loved food, especially Ladoos. These Ladoos are his power boosters and give him a surge of energy and make him even stronger than he normally is. Bheem is always ready to help the poor and needy.” Said Mr Gupta .
"For the last two years, I've been busy with films.It is also, along with our very own Chota Bheem, part of a powerful new indigenous wave of compelling story-telling and counter-narrative of tales from the soil that challenge the Disney-dominated worlds of our children.A musical on stage is like a vacation and I'm super excited. We'll bring the show to Mumbai soon, and take it to Bangalore and Pune as well. There are offers from Dubai, New York and London too." He added .
