Event Description : "Tora san – The Go Between" film screening as part of Screenings of Yoji Yamada's Special Films.

Short Synopsis: Tora-san has come to Nagasaki and is acquainted with a granny. The granny suddenly passes away and, after the funeral ceremony, Tora-san meets her grand-daughter, Wakana. Wakana is working in Tokyo, and in her apartment, there is a lively-natured aunty and a student trying for the judicial examination. The student has had a crush(one-sided-love) with Wakana. The beauty of meeting people that brings their new life, emotional ties and bonds, and the contrast of the warm-hearted granny in a rural area and her grand-daughter feeling loneliness living in the city, are naturally depicted.
