Event Description : “Quijote riding through the cinema” spanish film screening as part of  “Don Quixote through the cinema” Film Series.

Synopsis: 'Quixote riding through the cinema', chronicles the adventures of the Knight of the Sorrowful Countenance and his faithful squire from the graphic testimony of about 40 productions, over fifteen countries, that show the great influence of the character into filmmaking. Adaptations of directors as Orson Welles, Georg-Wilhelm Pabst, Eric Rohmer, Grigori Kozintsev or Spanish Manuel Gutierrez Aragon and Vicente Escrivá are included in this film showing the many faces that universal Caballero Andante on the big screen since the early twentieth century to today. The documentary also features the latest productions in the XXI century as 'Lost in La Mancha' Reith Fulton (2002); 'Quixote in Jerusalem' Dany Rosemberg (2004) or 'Donkey-Xote', the Spanish animated film of the same year 2005.
