It is an Experimental Jazz Rock outfit which believes in the expression of unadulterated human feelings, in the form of sounds created from energy deep within the human soul. Drawing influences from musical ideas, musicians, feelings and experiences in their lives, the trio, with Bijit Bhattacharya on Bass and Premjit Dutta on Drums delivers a mix of original instrumental tunes as well as a few interpretations of pieces written by legends whose works have passed the trials of time to inspire generations of artists around the world. After releasing their debut album “Intersections” in January 2014, the band has had successful tours and shows including a tour of Europe in May 2014, a tour of Bangladesh in September 2014, the Kolkata International Jazzfest 2014, followed by a series of shows in Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata in Feb-March 2015.
Bodhisattwa has also been performing regularly with Pop-Funk outfit “Crystal Grass”. He is also currently working on an experimental acoustic duo. Bodhisattwa has been an integral part of critically acclaimed Ethno-Jazz outfit “Kendraka”, World Music ensemble “Taal Tantra and is the Songwriter/Guitar Player/Synth Player of his Electronic/Alternative outfit “Zoo”.
