Event Description : "Ixchel + Kartikeya" music concert by Ixchel (violín y electrónica), Kartikeya (flautas)
Synopsis: "Ixchel + Kartikeya" is an Electronic Indian Music Project founded by the Mexican violinist and electronic music composer, Ixchel, and the Indian flutist, Kartikeya Vashist. Their songs mix the Indian classical music with electronic music, experimenting with various rhythms and styles. Her first project "Ixchel+Lotus" was performed in Mexican Festivals, with several musicians such as the violinist Sukhdev Mishra from Varanasi.
Biographies of the artists:
Ixchel. Musician, traveler, woman from México, producer of the project , Indian Music Lover, she plays music since 2000, starting in a Reggae Band, DJ, live acts of Electroacustic Jamming. She studied Composition and arrangements and Actually the Carnatic Violin. and she loves to travel to India to learn and connect with Musicians to enjoy Music around the world
Kartikeya Vashisht. Flutist and music composer from New Delhi. He is a performer of Hindustani
Classical, Folk and World Music. His music will make you visualize mountains, rivers, deserts, beaches and every other mesmerizing landscape that humanity is blessed by instruments. He plays Indian classical instruments, Alghoza (Rajasthani double flute´s) and other woodwinds.
