Grime Riot Disco (GRD) started in Mumbai in 2010 as a movement against a nightlife lacking warmth by those seeking the vibe of a real intimate dance party. With its open door policy, GRD is now recognised nationwide as a party that welcomes all and where egos are left at the door. Think high energy sets, think short shorts, think dancing shoes because this is a tropical themed party! GRD with DJ MoCity and Eng. bring this intensity and energy for the very first time at antiSOCIAL this Friday, 26th June, 2015; 9PM onwards.
About DJ MoCity
Born in Baghdad, raised in New Delhi, and now based in Dubai, Mohammed Uraibi Abood (aka DJ MoCity) is a music entrepreneur and DJ with a passion for authentic music from all around the world. Since his early days as a hip-hop loving teenager in New Delhi, Mohammed has grown into a highly experienced and respected musical tastemaker. From being the founder of Reggae Rajahs (India’s first Reggae sound), to creating and running a series of successful club nights Mohammed has achieved a remarkable amount in a few short years. By tirelessly pushing his sounds and the musicians he loves to new audiences, he has been a key figure in the development of the independent music scene in India.
About Eng.
As a DJ, he brings a variety of genres to the dance floor. With his music, he takes you everywhere from disco to South African to deep house. Eng. is also a member of the Bombay based creative collective Wetheppl. He's made a prominent mark on the nightlife scene in India founding events like Grime Riot Disco and City Sessions. He is also a co-founder of one of India's most talked about festivals - Magnetic Fields.
