Event Description : BNHS CEC – Delhi presents Monsoon Bird Walk.
The sanctuary is home to more than 200 species of birds. During monsoon, the forest flourishes and becomes lushly green, providing a good shelter and habitat to birds and squirrels. Monsoon indicators like Pied Cuckoo have already arrived in Asola and can be seen hopping over branches, making melodious calls. Peafowls can be heard calling and seen dancing as the clouds gather. Green Bee-eaters, Black Drongos, Rufous Treepies, Babblers, Red-vented Bulbuls and Shrikes are the common residents of Asola and can be easily spotted.
Come and explore this abode of avian fauna with the cool drizzles of monsoon! Let’s enjoy birding with the rains!
