Event Description : Delhi Karavan presents "Tareekh e Salimshahi" Heritage Baithak on emperor Jahangir
There are many ways to introduce Badshah Jahangir. He was the son of Akbar, father of Shahjahan, the fourth Mughal emperor, the Shehzada who rebelled against his father for the throne, the emperor who was just and under whom art and culture prospered. But the most befitting and the most famous identity of Jahangir is that of a lover. Ek ashiq jisne ishq ki khatir saare usool tod daale! Who inspite of a large harem remain devoted to one woman Nur Jahan. In this baithak, our story teller Asif Khan Dehlvi will weave the famous love story of Badshah Jahangir and the stunningly beautiful Nur Jahan.
Come join us as we trace the “Golden period of Mughal empire” during the times of Jahangir. The event shall be held in the beautiful laid out gardens of the mausoleum of Abdul Rahim Khane Khana, one of the nine jewels in the Akbar’s court.and mentor of Shehzada Salim
