Event Description : “Auric Vision” a fine arts exhibition by Clairvoyant and Healer, Renoo Nirula and curated by Divvya Nirula.
Auric Vision” rediscovers the talent of Artist Renoo Nirula, who has been a voice for cultural-upliftment of Indian art traditions and styles for over 3 decades. Being a Clairvoyant and Healer, Ms. Renoo’s artworks are blueprints of the energies and auras she visualises in her psychic readings. These visual treats are healing and transplanting auspicious energies. Connecting through the energy field she has put her “Auric Visions” to paper through the medium of inks and gives us visions of unseen frontiers. These beautiful and awe-inspiring visuals are unique, intricate and graphic in nature. The unique exhibition is curated by Divvya Nirula, Director, ART FROM US.

About ART FROM US By Divvya Nirula : It is a platform to present affordable contemporary art to a global audience. Within an Indian context this means providing works at a price point no higher than 1.5 L. Divvya Nirula applied her knowledge base in the Psychology and Sociology of Contemporary and Modern Art to deconstruct and present artworks for a global audience across socio-economic, cultural and national boundaries. She is constantly working with and collaborating to an individual, an institution, a foundation or an initiative that work(s) with amalgamated forms of art, across creative platforms and showcases new and established talent. Art From Us is constantly looking for long term projects with artists and creatives in order to realise technique and concept driven ideas.

About Divvya Nirula : The Curator : Playing the part of ‘Alice’ in a Bharatnatyam adaptation of “Alice through the looking glass” is a treasured experience for her. It was a first hand viewing of how very little is lost in translation when ideas are presented through a creative medium. What intrigued her most at the age of eleven was how the audience was the missing piece of the equation. With the audience present an artist/performers are validated. She wasn’t sure then and she is still making up her mind whether that is a good thing!

Her exploration of the art world was facilitated by her family in a most unique way. Hotels and restaurants were what her family did, but it was the Arts that kept them alive. Her Father, a Cornell graduate and her Mother a graduate from the London School of Art were part of a group of spiritualists who were engaged in creative expression. At an impressionable and early age she found herself in the company of creative individuals such as Ajeet Caur, Arpana Caur, Amroz, the late Amrita Pritam and the late Sheela Dhar to name a few. It was these visionaries that helped her push her boundaries of self. They allowed her to walk beside them, for a few miles, and for that she is grateful and honored.

Amroz once told her that the audience takes ownership of the work of art through their projected emotions. The battle between the artist and her audience was once again calling out to be addressed in her mind. The artist places her/himself behind a camera/in a sculptural form or pours her/himself on canvas. As s/he-the artist addresses the audience through manipulation of form, colour, texture and sound, she finds herself between the artist and the audience, trying to gather and explore what exactly is lost, changed, transformed and sometimes added- in translation.

As Curator she charts a path they can traverse together – the artist, the viewer and herself!
