Event Description : An exhibition of paintings by Anand M. Bekwad.

Anand M. Bekwad is in real sense son of nature. He wonders in nature relentlessly just like an infant. He tries to see, feel and absorb every minute detail of the nature surrounding him. And after grasping every corner of the landscape from nature he reduces it on the paper with the help of colors. The colors and shades sprinkled on the paper not only give the viewer merely visual pleasure but also creates a feel in his body and mind. In this way Anand transmits the emotions and feelings of nature, flowers, springs, mountains, lights and shadows directly up to the viewers. His ability to translate the view in picture has made him an artist of high acclaim at the young age of forty. What one see in his paintings has behind it a tremendous hard work and inbuilt passion developed from childhood. To nurture this passion Anand Bekwad completed formal education of art with the Diploma in Drawing and Painting (AMGD) after which his talent expanded deliberately. The mountains, Rivers, Valleys, Skies and Light became an inseparable part of his life. A relation between nature, his persona and his brush became stronger and stronger. Nowadays he has focused on various kinds of flowers. He tries to put the Lilly, Gerbera, Rose and many other kinds of flowers on his canvas. The flowers from his paintings give lively feelings. If one looks at these paintings for a while; these paintings are able to create the feel of fragrances. Most distinguished feature of Anand Bekwad's paintings is that it includes everything from the atmosphere as it is on the canvas. Hence watching the manmade buildings or streets besides the flowering trees is a realistic experience. He very ably reduces the play of lights and shadows on canvas. This young generation painter having his roots deep in nature has been praised by many leading painters. He has around 45 painting exhibitions in his name and proven his mastery by acclaiming many prestigious awards. Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy of Bangalore award, Mysore Dasara Award, All India Exhibition Award and Annual Exhibition Awards in three categories viz., ‘Still Life', ‘Portrait' and ‘Landscape' by Uma Fine Art Institute, Belgaum are few to count. He had conducted art camps in many cities across India. He had worked as a background artist in 2D, 3D Animation, as a layout artist and with mat paintings. Paintings by Anand Bekwad take us back in the lap of nature at least for the time being which makes him popular.
