Event Description : "Non-Diegetic Identities"A site-specific installation and live music performance by Wanphrang Diengdoh and Tarik.
Non-Diegetic Identities is a site specific installation and audio-visual performance that articulates concepts of identity in an environment where ideas of the international boundary are constantly shifting. Tarik is an audiovisual act from Shillong that promulgates punk and radical political themes, with a Khasi twist. Mainstreams media has described them as: grotesque, gutsy, rare gems, vulgar, edgy and ridiculously profound. Wanphrang Diengdoh and the band Tarik are based between Shillong and Delhi. they have a local and international cult following. Diengdoh is also a documentary film maker and visual artist whose recent productions have received positive critical acclaim.
