Event Description : Creative Adda presents "Chehrey" Hindi Play by Pipal Tree Theatre
Chehrey depicts the real picture of today -- be it corruption, debauchery, love, revenge, greed et al. The story is set in a khandar of a rural village and it revolves around two main aspects, the funeral of a village minister Bharose Ji and the case of Vinod and Genda Singh. Vinod is a rural vagabond who needs to become a star and go to Mumbai. He seduces a rich girl, Kamli, who also wants to become an actress in order to steal all her money and jewelry and flee to Mumbai. Genda Singh finds out and blackmails Vinod into sharing the loot. On the other hand, the elders carry on performing their so called rituals in order to pay hypocritical “respect” to Bharose Ji’s soul.
