Event Description :Curtain Call Productions in association with Akshara Theatre presents 'Comedy Double Bill".
6:30 pm - THE PARK - 6.30 pm
The comedy is a sarcastic comment on the growing intolerance amongst us. What starts out as a light hearted altercation evolves into a serious conflict about space, territory and ownership. To sum up in one line in the play, uttered by one of the character is that this bench belongs to him because he came here before all of them and hence he has a history to this place. The statement sticks to the mind in synonymous with reflective of the current times that we live in. It is a comedy about three men in a park fighting for their place; there are three benches but not enough. The play touches upon something that is at a premium these days space literally and metaphorically. What starts of as light hearted banter evolves into a serious conflict about space, territory and ownership.Directed by Vishesh Arora. Performers:Vishesh Arora, Akshay Takkar, Manil Mayank Mishra. The Stupid Show is really smart. 2 physically grown up and highly immature Indian males will be presenting the show. The categories may include God (synonym for offence), Girlfriends (synonym for 'zero disposable income'), and Parents (synonym for Ignore). It may harm your personal view of the world albeit we know that its your personal view. Sumit Anand has performed over 100 shows across the country and recently performed his one hour solo show titled 'Many Mistakes Of My Life'. In March, he will be performing in Magner's International comedy festival happening across Hongkong, Philippines and Singapore. Abhishek Upmanyu is Delhi's favorite comedian, all 5 people who have seen him perform say the same thing. He likes to talk about his parents but never really talk to them in real life. He performs regularly for The Comedy Store and Canvas laugh factory.
