Event Description : "Exploring New Delhi: From Baikunth To Rashtrapati Bhavan" a long walk and short talk by Robinson.
We have been having an interesting dialogue during the Talks and Walks around New Delhi. The film on the making of New Delhi, followed by walks to Gandhi Smriti, Lodi Gardens, and endless discussions. In the same series, the 5th Heritage walk will explore the lanes, roundabouts leading to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and will look at the grand design of the City, as envisaged by Lutyens and Baker. The stories behind the decision to choose Raisina Hills, the conflict of ideas, the distinctive Indian elements, the art works, and lesser known aspects of the area around it; celebrate, remember the hard-work of countless unnamed Indian artisans and workers who played an integral role in making of the Capital, which we proudly call as New Delhi, today.
