Event Description : "Mudra Rakshas" Hindustani play.

A Sanskrit Classic by Vishakhdatta. Translated by Begum Qudsia Zaidi, with lyrics by Habib Tanveer and Niaz Haider. The play narrates the story of Chanakya's selfless service to the State and how, after installing Chandergupta as King, he wins over, through a web of spies and political intrigue, his biggest opponent- the powerful, wise and loyal Prime Minister Rakshas of the deposed king of the Nandas. A lesson in Statecraft, for today's short sighted practitioners, of the art of politics.
