Dhillika, Dilli, Dehli, Delhi…call our city what you wish to since for long this city has been the choice of Kings, Sultans & Emperors wishing to control the Indian sub-continent from its heart. Wandering tribes came, lived, flourished; Invaders came, looted the city inhabitants and left; Rulers ruled, made this city their home, built palaces which vanished or fell to ruins with the passage of time!
What is left behind are intermingled layers of history and a treasure trove of stories about the people living in Mehrauli, the oldest village settlements which saw the first inhabitants in region of present-day Delhi, more than a 1000 years ago!
