Anomalies" a talk by Dr. Mohan Gundeti.

Abstract :
Dr. Mohan Gundeti will discuss his insights in performing surgeries on children with Urologic anomalies from his vast surgical experience at major health-systems in India, London (UK) and currently at the University of Chicago Medicine. In this unique lecture, he will discuss insights from his journey to apply minimal invasive surgery and best practices from his vast experience, and from individual patient stories. He will also discuss state-of-the-art surgical techniques including the advent, and now widespread use, of robotic surgical systems to optimize compassionate patient care for children around the world.

Speaker's Bio : Dr. Mohan Gundeti is an Associate Professor and Director of Pediatric Urology at the University of Chicago Medicine and is an internationally recognized leader in the field of pediatric robotic and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of congenital urological anomalies. Dr. Gundeti is frequently recognized for his excellence in surgical teaching and instruction to medical students, residents, fellows and surgical colleagues and serves as a guest speaker and faculty member for symposia and live surgery workshops around the world. Closer to home, Dr. Gundeti is the director of an annual course on robotic surgery and frequently hosts Mini fellowships in robotic surgery for surgeon observers, at the University of Chicago Medicine. He recently authored a book, "Pediatric Robotic and Reconstructive Urology" and currently serves as a consulting editor for British Journal of Urology International and reviewer for various high-impact journals in the field of pediatric urology. For his outstanding clinical work, Dr. Gundeti has received numerous awards from the American Urological Association and the European Society for Pediatric Urology. He has also been listed among the "Best Doctors in America", "Top Doctors in USA" and in Chicago Magazine's "Top Doctors" issues.
