Event Description : "The Buddha" a solo show of Paintings by M. Lokeswara Rao IFS.
The constant searching of self in the characteristics of each painting inspired the artist in me
to paint series of paintings in the present show “ the Buddha ” the displaying 20 paintings
of the show are some mere examples of his creative bliss with lot of interest, here ha has
portrayed Lord Buddha. Every work has deep thought and meaning supported its visual
description. All the paintings have been inspired by eight important symbols of Buddhism
such as conch, lotus, unending knot, dharma chakra among others. I believe series of paintings will be a source of joy for those who possess them. Sometimes certain talents can
never be taught. It’s an inborn trait some individuals are blessed with. The really creative
person is not interested in dominating anybody. He is so utterly rejoicing in life — he wants
to create, he wants to participate with God. Creativity is prayer. And whenever you create
something, in those moments you are with God, you walk with God, you live in God. The
more creative you are the more divine you are. To me, creativity is religion. Art is just the
entrance to the temple of religion. I feel that when I do painting during my leisure time, it
relieves my mental stress as I concentrate and deeply involving both body and mind. We live in age of non violence and immorality Buddha teachings are relevant today also. Mr Rao remembers the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru words ” We live in an age of confict and war, of hatred and violence, all over the world. Never before has the need been greater for all of us to remember that the immortal message Lord Buddha, the greatest and noblestof the sons of India.gave to us, and to you and to the all the world. That message of two thousand five hundread years ago is a living message today, enshrined in our hearts, and we draw inspiration from it to face the troubles and difficulties that threaten to overwhelm us”

Ever since M.Lokeswara Rao was a little child he had this different inclination towards drawing and sketching. He always had a different way to look into things with an altered perspective with a different perceptive ability. Imagination has no barrier. It is stronger than anything known to man, faster than the speed of light, deeper than the ocean of thoughts. It is the seed for the basic intellect of creativity & innovation. The displayed works are just some mere examples of reinvention of creative bliss. Every work has a deep thought and meaning supporting its visual description.
