Area : Mandi House Area Rubkirat’s Art displays the dichotomy of a human mind magnificently. Her art demonstrates a philosophical bent of mind coming from an awareness of resignation, reconciliation and resilience. She skillfully displays a strong communiqué by using architectural ‘spaces’, mechanical tools and shadowy and headless figures who act as protagonists. Standing before her works, the viewer might get a feeling of a workshop like aura where “inner work” is in process vibrating with the fundamental philosophical meditations and mediations. As an Artist it shows her effort to deal with the theatre of life. There is an intense silence resonating from her works one that showcases a seeker in close proximity to its solution. Rubkirat’s works, in general celebrate this metamorphosis of organic human beings into full-blown individuals.
About :
Rubkirat Vohra, an Architect, a full time mother has established her career as an Artist, painting her canvases based on vivid allusions her mind is constantly spewing, amalgamated with her own experiences and emotions, drawing strength from her creative lineage and inspirations of the great masters, fuelled by her high octane passion to ‘BE’.
A very keen observer, not the kinds who uses only their eyes to look at things, Rubkirat has a penchant for delving deeper, a capability each human is born with but a skill honed through passion and grace by a rare few.
She deconstructs the subject, situation, psychologies in silence with such panache’ that when the final communiqué’ happens, the subject, the situation and the psychologies in reference end up being one with her, belonging to her.
