Event Description : The Neemrana Music Foundation presents 10th Anniversary Opera Gala.

The Neemrana Music Foundation celebrates a decade of opera in India in collaboration with the European Union.

If you thought opera was a genre for the elite, it’s actually a popular art form! It entertains with music, song, drama, dance, with spectacular costumes and sets as does Bollywood. 
Here is your one-time chance to catch up, as excerpts from The Neemrana Music Foundation's nine past productions will take you through the most famous songs of Mozart and Verdi, among others – the moving songs, the fun ones, the ones from centuries ago, or right from yesterday.

> A choir of a hundred singers, including children from the Blind Relief Association and from underprivileged families from the NGO Khushii
> Ten soloists, all Indians and trained by The Neemrana Music Foundation
> Three dance groups: Kathak, modern ballet and Kalaripayattu
> Over 500 costumes made by the designers Muzaffar and Meera Ali, and Parvesh&Jai
> A full orchestra including fifty musicians from all over India and Europe

All will fill the spectacular auditorium of the Nehru Stadium with vibrant music.

This very unique event will be a tribute to Francis Wacziarg, founder of The Neemrana Music Foundation. He believed that music and beauty unite, and that India should be on the International scene in every field.
