Event Description : Rukshaan Art presents "The Twin Clock" an exhibition of Artworks by Ramgopal Kumawat & Kamal Pandya.

Mankind is a social being, navigating social hierarchies and constructing a world that is fashioned out of brick and mortar. Two young Baroda-based artists from Studio Rukshaan Arts, contemplate the intricacies and manifestations of these two aspects of life in their vibrant and colourful artworks, which explore these facets of human existence. Artist RamgopalKumawat who hails from Jaipur employs his interpretation of Rajasthanikatputlipuppets to comment on social hierarchies and the games people play. Kamal Pandya straddles folk tradition and modernity to create intricate tapestries of urban sprawls; houses knitted together closes in a dense cluster. Both these artists derive their style and refer to the meta-narrative of Miniature paintings yet their deft handling of canvas and acrylic paint extols some of the virtues of high-modernsim and a post-global era of visual cues.
