Event Description : Atelier Theatre Repertory Company presents "Kujh Afsaney" Punjabi play based on the writings of Saadat Hasan Manto.

In the present political status quo, after witnessing the illogical ban and removal of AK Ramanujan’s essay 300 Ramayanas from the University curriculum, followed by high command pulping Wendy Doniger’s The Hindus: An Alternative History, I decided to invoke Saadat Hasan Manto, who faced the same situation a few decades back for the work he believed, in the name of morality & obscenity.
KUJH AFSANEY is a creative response to the brutal, parochial & insensitive attitude of a section of people who are working overtime to codify “culture”.
