Event Description : Vadehra Art Gallery presents "Other Narratives / Other Structures" Selected Artworks by Arpita Singh.
The exhibition is the first to be organized in celebration of the 60th Year of the 
Akademi, to accompany the conferring of Fellowship, representing more than 50 years of 
Arpita Singh’s work. The exhibition has been curated by Ella Datta, who has been a Tagore 
National Fellow for Cultural Research attached to the National Gallery of Modern Art. The 
exhibition will show a representative selection of Arpita Singh’s works from 1961 onwards. The paintings and drawings have been carefully selected from prestigious collections such as the Lalit Kala Akademi, National Gallery of Modern Art, Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and distinguished collectors from all over India


Arpita Singh is one of the foremost artists of post-independent India. Her mastery over oils, 
watercolours and drawings as well as profound humanism of her vision have been well-acknowledged by critics, connoisseurs and collectors, all over India and the world.
