Event Description : Rishi Shridhar live.
The flickering spot lights, shimmering walls, and exposed brick walls are certainly a contrast to your average sing-along box. Getting down to '80s and '90s hits (from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Salt-N-Pepper's "Push It", to Jagjit Singh ghazals and Kishore Kumar’s naughty romantics) and rising up again to match the latest Bollywood foot tapping melodies, unplugged in his own unique version, hasn't been this fun or guilt-free since college.
And remember to be energetic: Your enthusiasm (booze-fuelled or otherwise) will really get the crowd going. On weekends, patrons of this upmarket joint have been known to let the spirit of rock & roll takes over by jumping onto the bar while belting out tunes. But during the week, you can catch a glimpse of more subdued insanity; with lip smacking cocktail pitchers at rock bottom prices.
About Rishi :
Inheriting the music in his genes, Rishi Shridhar hails from the clan of Khemchand Prakash Ji and Sh. Rupendra Shridhar. Having composed songs like Dilli ke deewane (2.7 Mil Views), chalo dilli (CWG Anthem), Rishi is a degree holder from the London School of Music, wherein he followed Blues and Country Music.
Dwelling in Rap occasionally, Blues and Bollywood, still remain close to his heart. He can pull of John Mayer songs with as much elance as a Jagjit Singh Sahab’s ghazal. He considers himself lucky to be impart music to youngsters and performing live Unplugged.
His speciality remains in the way he engages the crowd by asking them for a situation and then adapting the mood of the song according to the situation.
