Event Description : "Look back in anger" Hindi play.

Director’s Note : 
Around Six Years back I got a Bengali adaptation of “Look back in anger” from one of my Tamilian friend .Unfortunately the Bengali adaptors name was missing in the script. Then I read the original English play. Immediately what struck me was the content of the play which I found quite relevant. With help of my two other friend we completed the translation in Hindi from both the English play and Bengali adaptation. In a social atmosphere the identity of a human being is always questioned. For whom are we living, the society or for our self? The juxtaposition of this two has a very thin line. What is the prime factor of bonding between two human beings irrespective of Gender? Is the anger evokes because of questioning the 
social norms? How much it is self imposed? I have tried to explore these questions through the process of making this play. It is an ongoing journey for me and this journey would not be possible without my entire team. I express my sincere gratitude to every member of my team for their dedication and devotion for making this play.

Director : Souti Chakraborty 
Born in Kolkata, Souti Chakraborty started Theatre in 1984. He was associated with the ‘Grips” theatre in Kolkata for 6 years. He is a graduate of National School of Drama with the specialization in Design and Direction [2001]. He has worked in National School of Drama Repertory Company for 7 years as a Designer, Director and Actor. He has worked with almost all the renowned Theatre Directors of India. He directed the play Chanakya Vishnugupta for NSD’s Repertory Company. As light Designer he has designed more than 50 productions. He represented India in “Young Theatre –Workers Workshop” in Berlin Germany. For the last 6 years, he is teaching in NSD, various Universities and Theatre Institutes.
