Event Description : Art inc. Presents "Congruent Disharmony" a group Show of Paintings & Sculptures by Ramesh Kohli, Bipasha Banerjee, Simona Bocchi and Shashi Kumar

There is a common thread flowing through the works of different artists participating in a group show. It assures harmony, but the results are predictable. This time once, in Congruent Disharmony the artists belong to different generations, whose genres and styles are apart and who see the same world through different lenses. The curator, Renu Rana wanted the works to clash without causing chaos, the divergent visual presentation to meet at a fundamental point and find a creative unity in discerning diversity.
Artist Ramesh Kohli’s works, most of them, are rich in chromatic content, whereas the strength of Bipasha’s paintings lies in line and the minute detailing. Both of them depict the mundane life; there is no hidden message or meaning in their works. That’s where the similarity ends. Their works, instead of conflicting, compliment each other.
Similar is the case with Simona and Shashi’s works. The works of the former are technically perfect, yet static. Shashi’s sculptures on the other hand are rife with vigorous movement. Displayed together, they provide a peaceful balance.
