A book of poetry is a cherished keepsake for the recipient and the poet. SOMEWHERE IN MY HEART, a collection of poems by Prachi Behrani, is a special keep sake as the poet is a 17-year-old talented writer who has written scores of very creative and touching poems and the present publication is a select offering of the same.
The book includes more than 60 heart touching poems by a young poetess highlighting moral values, contemporary issues of the life, problems of the society, romanticism, pain and a lot more. These aren’t words by William Shakespeare or by John Keats or Robert Frost, or other poets all of us worship and admire. These are the words by an amateur teenager, with big dreams in young eyes. And well, a lot of sentiments in her heart.

About the poet :
Prachi Behrani is a seventeen-year-old teenager with an undying passion for writing. She aims to awaken intrigue and reaffirm the readers by carefully weaving together words and verses in her poetry. She has enthusiastically written scores of soul-touching poems at such a tender age. The words come naturally from her heart and always sprinkle in the garden of thought, taking form of eloquent poetry.
Prachi developed an interest for writing and reading when she was a little girl of 5, and her mother used to keep story books open for her so that she could read them as soon as she came back from school. She used to ask questions later. Every night, before going to bed, Prachi’s mother would recite her story or a poem and ask questions likewise. That was her first step towards literature. Apart from her Bua (a poet), all the great poets, Shakespeare, Frost, and Keats continue to be an inspiration for her.
“I have had more an inclination toward poetry,because they are deeper,crisp, and carry a world of meaning in just a few phrases. Moreover, people can relate to it and interpret it in their own ways” says Prachi Behrani.
