Event Description : Kopal Theatre presents "Impatient Seeker" and "Saag Meat" Hindi plays.
Saag Meat is a dramatic combination of two stories -- Impatient Seeker and Saag Meat.
Impatient Seeker is a conversation between two friends regarding the belief of the current youth and the pros and cons of virtual world that we are getting into. To make the subject more interesting the play takes a ride from the classical era to Aristotleian era to capitalism to science to today’s time. It also includes Dr. Sigmund Freud’s monkey experiment which is dramatised in a comic. The play concludes by each one having a different perspective about the evolution of beliefs.
Saag Meat is a story written by eminent writer Bhisham Sahni. Set in a kitchen, the story talks about a relationship between two classes of our society. Jagga, the servant who works for a Punjabi family and who is the most loyal servant anyone can have, but an undesirable incident forces Jagga to take his own life. And all this is narrated by Sumitra the protagonist who unfolds the truth of Jagga’s death in a humorous way.
Both plays are directed by Seema Bhargava Pahwa who was the unforgettable Badhki of Hum Log. Seema is also the main actor of Saag Meat. Mayank Pahwa, Karan Mudkavi, Rishikesh Karanjgaokar, Suhan Khan, Manukriti Pahwa will also be onstage.
