Event Description : Jyotsna Shouries's Dance Society presents "Divinity Series 2014" a dance and music festival.

We feel very strongly that our traditional arts need to be popularized and not be restricted to a select few. With this aim we want to showcase "artists of excellence " in our Festivals. Divinity Series premiered in 2013 with a star line up of Bharatanatyam dancers, Rama Vaidyanathan, Meenakshi Srivasan from Chennai and Mythali Prakash from Los Angeles. This year we have added music as well.

Divinity Series 2014 has the inaugural invocation by O.S.Arun from Chennai, followed by Surupa Sen and Bijayani Sathpathy from Nrityagram, Bangalore. The second day has Lakshmi Parthasarathy Athreya , budding star in the field of Bharatanatyam from Chennai followed by Hindustani classical vocalist par excellence Kaushiki Chakraborty from Kolkota.
