Event Description : Gati Dance Forum presents "Acroyoga" Workshop by Yamuna Devi & Helena Giron.

Acroyoga blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga , the dynamic power of Acrobatics, and the loving wisdom of thai massage. These three elements form a unique practice that cultivates Trust, connection and playfulness. from this place amazing physical shapes can be formed and emotional spiritual transformations can occur. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, celebrated and shared for the benefit of all.

4th October : Solar workshop
Solar Acrobatic Practices that cultivate trust, empowerment and joy and which are the tools to unlock that power in others and ourselves. The Solar elements are strength building, inversions with spotting, and partner acrobatics.

5th October : Lunar workshop
The Lunar Therapeutic Practice includes massage, therapeutic flying and partner yoga. Our main tools are listening, sensitivity, loving kindness, feeling and releasing.

About the Teachers:
Yamuna Devi is an international teacher leading workshops, retreats & yoga teacher trainings since past five years around the world. She has been inspired by her beloved mother who is a yoga teacher as well as a Sanskrit scholar. About her passion for AcroYoga Yamuna says, "AcroYoga has been a true blessing in my life, it is a truly beautiful practice that purifies my soul and reignites my spirit. I am open with my heart to share this with the world and help others to feel the beauty of flight and light “.

My mother is a beautiful yogini and taught me the beauty of yoga from a young age, she encouraged me to explore my potential in creative arts, I started my training with kung fu, and went on to explore various styles of dance like contemporary, jazz, hip hop, ballet and capoeira. With a degree in dance I traveled to India to discover my Indian roots and my spiritual being was discovered. I trained in Indian martial arts, kalari and traditional Indian dance. I have been a professional dancer for the past 7 year touring internationally to the far east and Europe.

Hélèna Giron is an AcroYoga Teacher, sharing her time between India and Europe. She discovered AcroYoga while traveling in Thailand in a park. When she flew for the first time, she immediately fell in love with AcroYoga. Everything she loved was there: connecting with people, laughing, playfulness, challenge… and it also opened new doors to healing arts. Today, she is happy to share this empowering practice with many more people and transmit the joy that AcroYoga practice gives.
