Event Description : Pre-Durga Puja Preparations in Delhi’s Mini Bengal: Cultural Heritage, Idol Making, Food and PhotoWalk as part of Festivals of India Walk Series.

In our annual edition of walks to soak in the sights and sounds of the run-up to Durga Puja, we at DelhiByFoot invite you to join the Bengali brand of fun at ‘Mini Bengal’, CR Park where the Bengali community rejoices as it awaits the arrival of Goddess Durga and the “Pujo aashchhey” (Literally meaning Pujas are coming!) brand of fun! Visit ‘Kumors’ (Idol Maker’s) workshops to see how the massive Durga idols of the Goddess are made and experience what goes into turning a lump of mother earth into ‘Devi Durga’. Listen to mythology and stories related to the ‘Devi Shakti’ and experience the buzz of the giant ‘Pandal Makers’, and where we will savour a choice selection of traditional Bengali cuisine!
