Event Description : In a time where Indian film music has been remixed to club beats, Red Mawkin Productions presents "BollyJazz" Live!. An exciting new musical genre, BollyJazz presents popular Bollywood classics through jazz rhythm and harmony formats keeping the melodies intact and sets to them to pristine jazz instrumentation. Cello, guitar, flute, keyboards and bass combine with vocals to make irresistible music magic.
 Re-arranged and re-interpreted by Red Mawkin, the music is performed by featuring various magnificent artists who bring a profound depth through their respective instruments -- maintaining justice to Indian style while approaching it with the powerhouse of  R’n’B/Jazz.
With BollyJazz creator Nikhil Mawkin on vocals and keyboard, well known jazz guitarist Pranai Gurung, seasoned drummer Nikhil Vasudevan, sweetness of the flute player Nathalie Ramirez from Mexico, American Cellist Nawa Lanzilotti and Shikhar Prasad’s fretless bass gliding beautifully above all, BollyJazz is an evening of musical enchantment. 

Live at Akshara means an intimate setting in an exquisite theatre, perfect for interaction and understanding between the music, the musicians and the avid listeners.
