Event Description : 'Stories of Cronopios and Famas (Historias de Cronopios y Famas)' Spanish film screening as part of 'Homage to Julio Cortazar' Film Series.
Synopsis : The famous short stories written by Julio CortĆ”zar on an animation movie, for the first time. We found fantasy characters going through the most unexpected situations in their daily routine, some emotionals, other familiar, affective, bureaucratic, political or ecological, but all of them with a sense of humanity so comical as irresistible. Every single story is drawn by a distinct Argentinian painter, in a different style in order to find the best pictorical expression for each one of them. The movie maker Julio LudeƱa directed this choral work with the aim of put together literature, cinema and fine arts. That is the reason why he invited to the painters Carlos Alonso, Luis Felipe NoĆ©, Antonio SeguĆ, Daniel Santoro, Crist, Ana Tarsia, Magdalena Pagano, Patricio Bonta, Luciana SĆ”ez and Ricardo EspĆ³sito to translate this short stories into animation images.
