"Bhooli hui yaadon’ mujhe itna naa satao, ab chain se rehne do, mere pass na aao ……."
The glorious past of Mughal dynasty which began from Babur, the richness, the cuisines developed for each rank during those times, the meticulous royalty, colossal structures , bards talking of an era which made Hindustan see one its golden period turned to despair.
The once prince and princesses draped in the costliest mulmul and living life people dreamt of turned to unknown names, they were treated in the worst manner. While the revolt of 1857 lighted a new flame in the story of the independence, many stories of despair, cries were written alongside. Historical documentation howsoever meticulously written seldom delve into the personal details or accounts of such happenings while focusing more on facts and figures, which is why the subject becomes dry and lifeless.

We bring to you stories of the change of tide of Mughal era often forgotten by historians. Last time when we spoke of the last Mughal Zafar and his family, our audience broke in tears, this time we wish to talk about many such Mughal families who faced unthinkable adversities. The setting of such stories shall be Zafar Mahal, one of the last Mughal structures flickering the glory of rich Mughal past, yet lying forgotten in despair.
