Get grooving at Moonshine Café & Bar as BLOT (Basic Love of Things) spins some eclectic tunes for all the music lovers. 'Moonshine', a name which can be traced back to the 1920s American concept of distilling liquor at night 'by the light of the moon' during the Prohibition era, comes with an excellent location and experience for its patrons, different from the usual, run of the mill entertainment that Delhi offers.
The performance is in association with LIVE Viacom 18’s Vh1 Supersonic Club Nights. Conceptualized by LIVE Viacom18 as an extension to one of India’s superior EDM festival, Vh1 Supersonic, the Club Nights series will widen the reach of the property, thereby allowing more people to experience the craze and excitement.
BLOT-an acronym for the Basic Love of Things, is an audiovisual performance collective at its core, and everything else beyond. BLOT! blend sound and music, while manipulating their performance spaces to expand the frontiers of electronica performances. Visually BLOT employ traditional filmmaking techniques as well as stop-motion animation and motion graphics, and the duo’ s diversity is as apparent in their music as it is in their visuals.
As India’ s original and leading audiovisual collective, BLOT curated the experimental stage at Sunburn Festival in Goa (2010 & 2011) and further afield, have performed at legendary venues like Tresor and Bar25 (Berlin) several times, as well as at Geneva’ s Electron Festival (2011), Berlin Music Week (2010), Champagnerama in Berlin (2010), London’s South Bank Centre (2010) and at Nuits Sonores in Lyon (2009). More recently, BLOT was a primetime artist at the 2012 NH7 Festivals in Delhi and Pune.
