Eid-ul-Fitr.
Monsoon magic and festivities galore – Kingdom of Dreams celebrates the beautiful tradition of Teej and festival of Eid-ul-Fitr that marks the end of Ramzan. Under India’s only skydome a busy Indian street will be alive with beautiful women folk dressed in graceful attires, indulging themselves in shopping for a wide variety of bangles ranging from glittering studded kadas, mirror work lac bangles to rainbow hues in different varieties. Mehndi wallas adorning the hands of the fair sex with artistic henna designs will add to the tradition and the beauty. India’s exotic handicrafts and other wares celebrating the Indian way of life will tempt and beckon. Adding sumptuous delight to the festival will be the Teej special sweets – Kesari Ghevar and Gujiya; succulent and delicious they will tickle the taste buds and satisfy the palate!
The opulent Lucknow pavilion will take the visitor through a delightful culinary experience to mark the festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr. Amidst thenawabi environs, the non-vegetarians will be able to take pleasure in delicious kebabs like kakori, galouti and chicken ke parche while the vegetarians can indulge their taste buds in aloo tilwale, rajme ki galouti and mewa-mahwa ki galouti as well as a selection of mouthwatering biryanis. Eid delight of rich sewaiyaan an all time favourite, can be savoured for an enjoyable flourish to the meal. A luscious gastronomic journey from a mind boggling array of 250 dishes awaits the visitors to Culture Gully on this auspicious occasion. Fascinating qawwalis featuring exquisite poetry, rendered by Qawwals in the Lucknow pavilion, will mark a memorable day of happy festivities.
Folk artists from different regions of India will mesmerise with their dances and gay abandon. The rhythmic beats of the dhol and strains of the harmonium will fill the air and herald a season
